There wasn’t an intricate backstory, there was nothing stereotypical, it was just a quick snip between Jinn and Raiden. I don’t see that as pandering so much as offering a bit of story…

I'd imagine that the anonymity applies to the members within the group. It doesn't give you immunity from your name being published when it comes to crimes.
