He wasn’t struck over the meal. He was struck for being incompetent on the set, and not staffing the shoot appropriately, which THEN caused Clarkson to miss the hotels restaurant opening times.

No need to troll... however, there was a big overreaction from both sides. I think Clarkson should have been fined by BBC or perhaps forced to pay damages to Tymon. Firing him was a big and costly mistake, and there were alternatives that could still have let him and other people know that punching people when things

He was hardly a liability. Yes, he acted like an asshole and punched a guy on a set. BBC being BBC pussied out and acted too quickly. If he would go on a racist rant against a producer, yes he is a liability. But one thrown punch does not equal to liability.

Bad timing. This month’s freebies were the worst offerings in a long, downward-trending stretch of poor selections.

While everything he saw and had exposure to was most likely orchestrated (which he acknowledges) it is still a way to gain insight into a country and culture that few will ever get to experience. Every country objectively does something bad, is there a level or threshold that every human is beholden to? Should

The problem with this argument is that literally nobody thinks the people of North Korea are somehow “bad.” This isn’t some cultural misunderstanding, nobody’s sitting there going “Gee, man, I don’t know about those 5 year-old North Korean dirt farmers. They seem pretty sketchy.”

What a totally disgusting individual. Is he retarded or something? Does he honestly believe that all the atrocities that are reported about North Korea are “media propaganda?”

He’s trying to collect all the Chaos Emeril.

Eh, Trump (Donald I mean), lowered the bar in the first place. And considering Ivanka is an active part of his campaign, she’s fair game. So I’m fine with this personally.

It’s Gold, Gold = instant classy. Trump logic is the best logic. All other metals are sad and low energy.

not to be that guy but why are you reading a post about this then....and then taking the time to comment on it.

This is such a great snapshot of why old-new-Top Gear was so loved by all: back and forth between the hosts, quick wit and ignoring car rules.

Just needs Chris Evans screaming (says nobody).

Only appropriate that on 4th of July the American once again conquers the Brit.

I see a lot of King hatred in the comments and I’m actually fairly surprised. The man might not write ‘high-brow’ entertainment, but the majority of his books are good reads.

Didn’t Stephen King had to invent a pseudonym (Richard Bachman) because his writing speed was outpacing his publisher-mandated release schedule?

“’I can’t tell you that you can play the whole game without violence – that’s not necessarily a goal of ours,’ Howard told The Guardian.”

Then you didn’t intend to make a Fallout game.

Here it is. He sent this, and another one, which was signed by everyone on the 22Cans team.

It was a silly thing I wrote a while back- I had the idea of writing to a bunch of members of the game industry, asking them to say "I approve of Christian Swanson!" or something to that extent. It was going to be a sort of gag thing that I'd put at the end of a portfolio.

Excellent piece. Peter's a strange guy, but he's definitely fascinating. He wrote me a letter of recommendation for a job offering after I sent him a letter in the mail!
