Both Laena’s suicide and the murder of the Strongs are fiery set pieces, tragic spectacles with no groundwork laid beneath them.

Idk, maybe I’m just sick of all this. It’s supposed to be Mature Fantasy for Grown-Ups but no matter how much of a cultural phenomenon it’s become it all feels like something made for the least socially adjusted guy in your high school’s D&D club.

Nah, that’s not my read on that sentence. I mean, if you just look at the phrasing it’s pretty clear that’s not what he’s saying:

That would’ve been a good sting, but I don’t think that’s what he was actually saying at all.

We know.

Enjoyed this! Diva worship is a part of queerdom, seeing superstars like Beyonce who always loved their queer fans gave me hope there was somewhere safe out there for me when I was young. Popping in some headphones to feel safe is a really amazing thing, and she’s definitely a better artist the more she recognizes

Sadly agree. I gave him chance in 3rd season but this is not Breaking Bad and whoever casting him as almost main character didn’t do big favor to this TV show.

Eh. He doesn’t have the range to do this and he’s not putting in enough work.

My sister said something about him that rang absolutely true - he just doesn't seem to fit in with the tenor of the show or the rest of the cast and he sticks out like a sore thumb. Don't get me wrong, I like Aaron Paul when he's in his element! But I don't think his presence is doing the show any favors (and vice

Once again, Aaron Paul just wrecks the episode with his terrible acting.

It’s nuts that so few reviews I’ve read of this focus on the humor, or view the humor as incidental. This episode was chock full of belly laughs for me, especially when he incepts Kor the trivia answers (“It’s moments like these I curse the Chinese for inventing gunpowder”). I get that the deep introspective stuff is

That’s great, Bill.

Now how about all the other women you’ve been an a-hole to over the years on film sets?

Will you apologize to them or just this one because someone is making you?

I mean, an entire production was shut down. People lost their jobs. It might be a little important.

Bill Murray has always struck me as kind of a jerk but he's also been in so many good things that people are willing to look past them. Glad the post metoo system is sort of working here

My review, about two hours post the premiere:

Seeing your name as the author of this review really fucked my head up, but I was also a little excited to write for the AVclub for a little while, so it was a real roller-coaster of confusion and pride.

Had to look it up and now I envy the english language for having the perfect word for describing Tarantino´s work, that my language (german) hasn´t.

“meretricious”

Appearances aside, I would say Beanie and Clive are doing good jobs with the mannerisms and voice work.

Who allowed this fucking piece of shit to come out of the greys?
