Yeah, right now I'm using a new engine torque mount with a polyurethane insert to reinforce it. It did wonders in improving the shift feel. Once/if that goes, I have an aftermarket engine torque mount for a Focus that I'll be putting in.
The M66 6MT is a pretty solid transmission...the problem is that the clutch and pedal feel is garbage, as well as the under-engineered drivetrain mounts that prevent solid, precision shifting. That and the pedal placement are my biggest gripes with the car (fellow C30 owner).
Agreed. I say this as an owner of a 2008 C30 T5 R. The steering is numb. The clutch pedal feel is terrible/non existent. Pedal placement is awkward and not conducive to things like heel toe. Brakes are very spongy.
