I think it’s weird how we expect that since someone has some positive or negative trait that we then think every aspect of their being must ALSO be similarly positive or negative. We can’t accept complexity in people - just archetypes.

The requirements for convictions haven’t changed other than time not ruling out a trial and since they likely have competent lawyers they likely would easily be able to beat any charge that goes to trial. I mean without DNA evidence most DA’s are unlikely to press for a trial…
