Regardless of the design, I don’t understand how anyone could logically spend $125 for a t-shirt. If one of my kids told me they wanted that, I would laugh right in their faces and then wonder where I went wrong as a parent.
I toss all my makeup within a year because I developed eczema and old makeup harbors a shit ton of bacteria. I thought I would be miserable but I honestly love it; old makeup, even old premium-brand makeup, just doesn’t apply as well.
I keep a bag of my less preferred/close to expiring makeup in my desk drawer at work, in case I need to slap on a basic face for some reason and don’t want/can’t go home. But I don’t buy doubles of my favorite premium products, no.
Huzzah!! Welcome back, Jane! You (and Millihelen!) have been sorely missed.
I have never tossed eye shadow out for it, but I DEFINITELY toss lipstick/gloss out for it. All it took was one really gross breakout across my lips once time from using an old lip color and now I’ll happily toss them if they last too long.
Makeup expires? I had no idea.
True. I guess that’s why there needs to be more supply like regular sizes have. I can go to kohls, Macy’s, even target and if I look around and try stuff on, I’m eventually going to find something that works. However, when you’re plus, the section is tiny, Lane Bryant isn’t that big, the petite/talls are lacking.…
There’s still a long way to go in plus size fashion. Someone like Graham is proportionally “plus sized”. However, the majority are usually pear, apple or triangle shaped so it’s not just about having clothes in 1-5x, it’s about having options for the different body types. I’m size 8, so I can find things that look…
NYC buses don’t stop every block. Maybe there are a few bus lines where this happens here and there, but the idea that buses usually go one block and then stop is just inaccurate.
This makes me really miss my grandfather. He passed away when I was in high school, but dementia had taken him from us long before that, and I never quite got to have these kinds of high level conversations with him — when I was old enough, he was pretty far gone.
I made this account just to share how similar my father is. My father is an immigrant to the U.S. from Gujarat, India. He was born in 1945. As an adult, I live in awe of how amazingly progressive he is given that he grew up in a rural town as an orthodox Jain. He married outside his religion and race (my mother is…
What a treasure, Prachi.
My grandfather has always encouraged my independence. When I broke off an engagement with a man I know my…
It’s probably to increase the chances of the dating app user being real as well as trackable. It can be a nice little safety net for those who worry about using the Tinders of the world.
Flint’s water crisis happened because state officials made a temporary switch in the water supply and did not properly treat the water with an anti-corrosive agent. That decision caused the harsh water to eat away at the pipes as it traveled to homes. Lead pipes leeched lead into the water, poisoning hundreds. Iron…
Wow, it’s almost as if they were trying to steer her toward a particular picture. That can’t be right, though....
In case you were wondering when she described the attacker to police she told them (according to her) that she did not see his face and described him as possibly Latino with hair pulled back into braids.
Darkest Timeline Ricky.
A student who went by the name Chinedu told me afterward: “I’m a gay black man. I don’t agree with all that he says, but we have to meet at the table.”
