This is why schools make 'custom' books because they are loosing money....My 'custom' books are ridiculously priced, but, some did have a rent option for digital for 2 semesters plus (summer/winter break) access for $60 bucks. (which is a great deal imo)

I've seen something similar done at Macy's. They had a coat for regular price at $99 in store. The following week it was on sale for $99 after being reduced from the 'regular' price of $150. Had I not been in the store the previous week I would have thought it was an amazing deal.
