@mordakai8: I think it's highly unlikely that this child would still be alive if there was a ban on violent games. This man was violent and no amount of Viva Pinata would have caused him not to be.

I really don't see the issue with fragmentation; you buy a low-end Android smartphone for less than £100 then surely you can't expect it to perform the same as an HTC Desire HD? The fact that you can have a smartphone so cheap is the power of Android.
