And the moral of the story is.... fuck Spanos.

Hell, I missed the WYTS for the Chargers completely, after I’d been bitching about them all week.
Damn, I just read up on him. Three torn ACLs... fuck. I tore both of mine but like 15 yrs apart. 3x in ~6 yrs? Fuck, that sucks.
I’m sure it is perfectly fine as a smaller venue for sports that aren’t huge in the US. But as a location for an NFL team, the biggest sport in our nation, by far? It is a joke.
We all have issues that happen. There are all sorts of one-off things I could point to in life where I, being white, have been on the wrong end of shit, due to factors outside of my control.
TV ratings are going to plummet this year. LA ratings dropped when they were forced to watch Rams games, but could still watch the Raiders. Watch what happens now that SD fans (like me, fuck Spanos) fall off and the LA residents can no longer watch the team they really want to see, the Raiders.
Hell if I remember, that was 30 yrs ago. I just remember it being on TV. Though if I had to guess, you’re confusing it with Captain Power which was everything Nintendo shoved in a cartoon.
I know, since it is generally the ‘guns and god’ crowd that says that kind of shit in the first place. I thought it’d be funny to spin it the other way, thanks for noticing.
I know some religious types that I like and respect. I don’t associate with the ‘bad ones’, but apparently they’re out there since our country is currently controlled by assholes that court that crowd.
I used to have respect for religious types, even if it was never my thing.
Couldn’t this be said for the Trump supporters as well?
I’ve wondered about this as well. Teams have the final cuts and opening day 53 + 7. But roughly 20 guys per season go on IR (and as a {former} Charger fan, I feel 20 is a low number), so just on easy math you have 73 guys per season that make a roster and the practice squad is too hard for the average fan to keep…
I almost rooted for the Patriots to win in 07 because I wanted Seau to get a ring.
And more cost.
Bo Jackson is a strange case for me, I hated him when he played, as a former Charger fan it was my duty to hate all Raiders.
I first read the question as: What is the best time to drink with your kids...
As a Charger fan 1976-2016, Seau is number 1 on my list.
15 yrs is a long time, I remember feeling like they weren’t using Faulk enough in that game. This was before they cracked down on defensive holding (Patriots being primarily responsible for that crack down), so hard to get a feel for the game from the stats. Currently 15 rushes would be an average workload for an RB,…
There is just so much disgust in it. Your eye gets drawn to the dude in the foreground, then as you look more, you see the same reaction on everyone else other than the dude with the 1000 yard stare.
Charger fans have always been a bit fairweather, but the ownership didn’t do anything to endear itself over the last 15 yrs. The stadium issue has been around for a while, and that shit tends to turn people off.
