That scene was the worst of it, but that entire movie was slathered so damn heavily in condescension I couldn’t stop rolling my eyes.

Everyone’s saying Adam McKay has gotten really insufferably smug all of a sudden with this movie. Meanwhile, The Big Short literally has a scene of “You rubes are too stupid to understand anything that’s happening in this movie, so here’s Margot Robbie in a bathtub to explain it.”

That outfit! I practically screamed. She looked like she was dressed like a seven-year-old from 1987. The costume designer is doing a heroic job.

I truly thought Mary was going to find herself an alternative Leon Black to join her in Asia.

Oh and to get rid of Irma. I about died when Leon asked Susie if she wanted to put some highway miles on her new vajayjay.

He never seemed that enthused about the show in general. He acted annoyed about it on talk shows and such when he was supposed to promote it and it sounds like he wanted to leave anyway. AND the creator left the show, it’s in its ninth season and they’ve clearly ran out of gas, AND the main character is about to

Do we know if in-fact he was driving a manual vs. automatic, cause engine braking with an auto isn’t like the other.

Thank you. I am not a local but have passed through that area several times in the past year so I feel like I have some familiarity with it. As someone posted in another comment, there are signs that specifically warn truckers not to be fooled (when the road levels off before the final descent) and to maintain low

I really only know him from that movie about little league baseball parents he did a few years ago, which was very much his project. There's a character in that who literally exists only to be ogled by his character, so this news did not shock me.

None of which justifies the charging decisions the rather overzealous prosecutor made. And again let’s be real, there’s absolutely no possibility a white defendant would have faced the same “extreme indifference” charges - it’s those which are the big problem because of the mandatory minimums.

Some context for those of you not from Colorado, who don’t know the circumstances of what happened beyond what you’re reading in this article.

I said this when this first surfaced, but my only experience with this guy was on Celebrity Wheel of Fortune a few months ago and he was completely insufferable. These allegations don’t surprise me at all.

LOL that seems like a ready-made CYE plot—actor with more time on his hands due to his old man idiocy suddenly starts bugging the creator of his other show to make more shows to keep his checking account full.

Oh god, Raymond was just way too much with that shit. Miserable characters can absolutely be funny, and that show certainly had great moments, but every other moment was an assault on the ears. I never watched Goldbergs, but if it’s that level of grating, no thanks.

110 years is a lot.. but he forever ruined the lives of 4 or more families.”

Oh my goodness, the yelling.  I tuned in for the ‘80s pop culture references but was really turned off by all the constant screaming -- it gave me anxiety.  George Segal was great on the show, partially because his seemed like the only character capable of expressing an emotion at anything other than full volume.

I felt the same way about everybody loves raymond. Couldn't give it a chance, just too much screaming.

The nearest runaway ramp would be miles before this back up in hte foothills. He was hitting the western side of greater Denver rush hour traffic. Its a parking lot there every day at that time other crash or not.

Did this guy fuck up and deserve to go to jail? Certainly.

If Garlin leaves and the yelling on that show goes down even moderately, I might jump in. I have tried this show a couple of times and it seems like every conversation between everyone is just screaming. It’s grating and exhausting. Garlin and the older brother seemed to be the worst offenders; maybe the kid can
