I enjoyed the campaign just fine. Nothing groundbreaking, but it sure was pretty and the guns feel amazing. Overall it was fun enough and still better than the majority of CoD campaigns over the last few years.

People weren’t bitching at the lack of full on remembrance posts. Literally all people wanted was a short acknowledgment and a link to the GoFundMe. It would have taken less than 2 minutes to write and post and there wouldn’t have been any furor whatsoever.
The absolute bare minimum anyone expected is “RIP Mike Fahey, a valued writer at Kotaku. His death was announced on Twitter via his family.” And then post the tweet.
And I think it sucks that you’re taking a run at people over this. People are only asking because Fahey meant something to them, too.
I agree. There’s a difference between an announcement and a eulogy, and the former seems to be called for here. It’s unreasonable to expect the staff to compose heartfelt tributes to an unexpected tragedy over a holiday weekend, but just letting folks know… I found out in a random thread yesterday and thought it was a…
Agreed. I came here this morning to read a tribute to the guy... and nothing.
Off-topic but how is there not a tribute to former Kotaku writer Mike Fahey?
You’re getting me hyped for it. Now I’m leaning for the Hawk.
Okay, Stephen Ddungu here. Firstly Jeremy, I didn’t know you were going to make it a race issue, I’m quite disappointed to be honest.
It’s almost impossible to find a bad word spoken about Smith, except from people who have never worked with or met him.
He punched a 77 year-old, who then died. I’d say two years’ house arrest is more than fair. “He was old and might have died anyway” isn’t much of a defense.
You have an odd definition of “faceplanting” when Lost Ark’s western launch has objectively been a huge success.
“This is a great foundation for future games to build on” has been the running mantra for every mainline Pokémon game since 2013.
I mean a new ps4 is still 300 dollars. 350 for the pro. Same games play on ps5. So no saving the 50 bucks to cut out next Gen from ur purchase would be dumb.
Use a stock checker. I bought a Series S early last year. After a year of loving it but wanting more power and the ability to access discs, I upgraded to a Series X. I got my X less than two weeks after signing up for a stock checker. Incidentally I also got my PS5 using a stock checker. They really aren’t that hard…
Depending on your model, you probably have an optical audio out option that can get you sound to a TV or sound bar while still using the HDMI for visual. I think the Series X is great, but there are certainly cheaper workarounds.
I think it’s a little crossroads in Texas, right? What’s my prize?
The best surprise is that this post wasn’t a slideshow.
Agreed. I played it at release on PC, didn’t experience any crashes (just some occasional bugs and irritating framerate drops and texture glitches), had an absolute blast with it. I understand though if the experience was drastically different on consoles...
Spoken like someone who has no idea why people like muscle cars, or sports cars.
