You’re right, but I don’t think that will be the case for Witcher 3. It will certainly win some GOTY awards, there will be a GOTY edition, and many PC gamers, including myself, will be waiting for a juicy sale to come along. Once games drop on Steam (or GMG or GOG in Witcher’s case) the numbers can get quite a boost.

Have you seen sales figures for any major release recently? Go look at Witcher 3, GTA V (on next gen consoles), Bloodborne, Destiny, the list goes on. Clearly you’re like Ace Ventura, just talkin out your ass.

My guess is that if someone is still holding on to a last gen console, they don’t have the cash to go drop $50 on a half-assed CoD game. Again, at less than $20/month since the current gen release (even less if you go back to announcement) you get a current console.

Money is the only reason I can think of. I get not being able to afford a new console or new $60 games. That said, it’s been two years, if someone wanted to upgrade, that’s plenty of time to save enough for a new system at less than $20/month.

That’s not how HotS works. It works just like league as far as hero rotation and unlocks go.

The load time difference between a hybrid and a SSD are negligible on the PS4. I forget which site did it, but one of the big gaming sites ran tests with release titles with the stock HDD, a SSD, and a hybrid. The SSD was only marginally faster than the hybrid.

Not only that, but my backlog is impressive and going to get bigger with Fallout and Battlefront just over the horizon.

It took them probably 2-3 weeks to patch out the loot cave.

Check out the first Dead Space. The player has full control, but the aliens are well designed and there’s plenty of jump scares and eerie ambiance to go around. DS2 wasn’t as scary, but maybe it was because I played them back to back and I conditioned myself to the games.

It’s a pretty good podcast and the episodes are only about 25 mins long. They usually have some good thoughts on games and have enough variety to stay interesting.

I quit watching about 2 years ago. It’s fantastic. I’ll watch parts of games here and there, but my Sundays have certainly opened up. The only drawback is that it makes me want hockey season that much more.

I haven’t even bothered with HL since the reset. IIRC, Blizz has said there will be another reset before real seasons start, so why bother? There are so many more toxic people in HL and I ain’t got time for that.
