Yep! Well said all around. Won’t be watching season 2 - as a native american woman, I found the whole show was tainted by that plotline. I thought there were some great bits but overall, why would I keep watching a show who’s head writer doesn’t give a shit about actual Native people’s feedback?

Tina Fey embodies exactly why I think “white feminism” is a lot of trash, bc there is this refusal to acknowledge intersectionality and white privilege and a lot of her work just feels like she is punching down because she knows that even criticism from non-white women will be treated like misogyny because we aren’t

Yes, there is a big undertone here of it’s white people’s problems that matter. It also rubbed me the wrong way that gentrification was somehow a problem for sassy old white women. It’s way fucking more likely that a white lady is the problematic gentrifier, not the victim.

Tina Fey is remarkably polarizing when it comes to writing about marginalization in a way that doesn’t affect white women. Like...how such a staunch feminist could be so entrenched in WHITE feminism and completely oblivious to other criticisms is just insane. The fact that she had such a sour attitude (basically

“That the show’s creators have been able to create a show that deals with such heavy content while remaining relatively light-hearted and often laugh-out-loud funny is a true testament to their work.”

You know, I think the key is to put civics classes back at school AND get as many people as possible to spend part of their lives working in an office, either as an elected official or FOR an elected official. We have to get people excited in the process once more.

1) Your logic is juvenile. Let me get this straight: So, politicians—unlike all other human beings—aren’t allowed to change any opinions based on new information, results, and social cues? They should stay locked into a position forever, just so no one can accuse them of being a flip flopper? That is some low-level

If she gets the nomination and eventually wins the presidency, I hope she stays as far left as Bernie has pushed her. She has the tendency to flip flop on just about anything depending on the way the wind blows, but she certainly has the charisma, and the energy to make an excellent leader. I love watching and hearing

but loves actually doing work

Saying that Hillary didn’t vote for a bill that she was not eligible to vote for makes little sense when trying to prove any sort of point. She did support it, helped campaign for it, and bragged about it for a very long time afterwards though. Bernie said it was bad, but did some good things, and felt it was a

It’s called “attaching provisions to the bill so that the progressive opposition, in this case Sanders and his ilk, are forced to vote for it even though it’s icky as shit.”

Bernie actually heavily opposed this bill.

What laws to help us has HRC helped pass or intoduce? She shows up to something for a soundbite and some pics with Black leaders and forgets about us until an election or something. I guess you forgot the racism from HRC in 08. Not me. She doesn’t give a dank shout us and has never tried to help Black people. Name

And correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t her answer here like a boilerplate Republican response? “Don’t like the diversity? Start your OWN company, make your OWN games, run for office yourself!” Yet people here are eating it up!

THIS is not an apology:

Maybe an answer that isn’t dripping with disdain and condescension?

Good for you, but maybe you need more research. She isn’t Bill, but damn if I support a woman that is married to a man that but us black folks through so much. Just a little more research on the Clintons:

Clinton is so lucky she is not a black woman. Can you imagine Michelle Obama surviving politically with Clintons history with the lying about being under sniper fire, being cozy with the financial industry, having some questionable dealings with the family foundation, the frothing at the mouth hate from the right, now

But it’s so sexist to keep mentioning things her husband did!
