Exactly! How dare you put politics in a military procurement article that was commented on by a politician who can wield some influence with other politicians when it comes to buying stuff for the military!

In the Iran Iraq war, Saddam Hussein used mustard gas on both Iranian forces and Kurdish civilians. Chemical weapons, in addition to nuclear and biological weapons, are considered WMDs. See:

welcome to neverland boys and bend over

No, this is because of hatred and evil. I believe in God, I have several friends who believe in different gods and guess what? We all get along and care for one another. The lack of value for human life and a desire to rule over people with fear is what caused this, not a simple difference in ideology.

All of this because we think differently about some mythical being in the sky. Good job humans.

None of which would have happened if Iraq had pulled out of Kuwait.

Until they take out the oil and the cash this will not stop. don’t not hit something because they will need it later. Turkey needs to stop playing both sides.

Just wow. Way to illustrate an utter lack of understanding

Russia uses the Happy Gilmore approach...ie, UN: “you just hit that guy!” , Putin: “shouldn’t have been standing there!” Then they just continue on giving negative 5 fucks what anyone thinks.

*SIGH*, here we go with the “No true Scotsman” arguments again.

Why are we dicking around? Nuke the city.

Ah yes, we’ll have the Thunderbirds put on an airshow over Raqqa. That should do it. They’ll be so awestruck by our tight formation flying and ‘Rock You Like a Hurricane’ that they’ll drop their weapons and immediately rethink this whole Caliphate thing.

They faced zero armed resistance for quite some time until the police showed up. There is nothing to suggest these guys were anything other than run of the mill terrorist pieces of shit who wanted to kill civilians - and as such, chose a densely packed, undefended target.

I don’t think the A10 would be necessarily an easy kill for plane like the Su30 if he keeps it in the weeds and makes them come down after him.

For exactly the same reasons fredgiblet cites, I too think the Silent Eagle would be a much better choice for Canada. It’s a much more capable aircraft, and I have yet to see any proof that the much talked about “commonality” between the two Hornet versions would actually save them any pilot training money.

Sounds like you didn't read the article, Columbo.

Shut up.

As a kid, when leisure time was a thing that existed, I put together many models. When it came to realistically weathering military vehicles, a phrase I heard often from veteran hobbyists was, “Tanks get filthy, airplanes merely dirty.” The Tupolev pictured up top puts that maxim to the test. Cheers to the guys who

This is awesome. I was lucky enough to see both the Blue Angels and Thunderbirds during the F-4 era, and doubt I could come up with enough superlatives to describe them. The F/A-18s are certainly impressive in their own right & era, but the holy-shit factor was so high with the size of the Phantoms, it's hard to shake
