A PAC is a way to consolidate donations to candidates. And how many Republican animal rights advocates are running for office?

In the seventh paragraph of the CBS piece it states: “Buck’s biggest political investment was for more than $300,000 to his political action committee called Animal PAC.”

According to the link below, Buck has donated hundreds of thousands to mostly state and local Dems, enough to buy some impunity. I notice the crimes he has been arrested for here are Federal.

The judge was on the side of the cops? Even though Amber got convicted in a few hours? Even though the opening of the Castle Doctrine everybody complained about has cut off most avenues of appeal for the defense?

So will The Root campaign against the judge at election time? Ironic if Amber Guyger went on trial and the judge ended up punished.

This is a Federal rap. Are there state charges yet?

Very good point. There hasn’t been a truly contested convention in half a century. Nobody knows what that looks like.

Finally!! After around 100 posts here somebody at last mentions Sander’s arteries. How much support will he lose over them?

The governor of Texas is an ex-prosecutor. Why would he pardon?

Federal pardons are only for Federal crimes.

Why be suddenly perceptive of the utility of CPR when you were so clueless as to stumble into the wrong flat and start shooting? The lack of first aid also argues against the

The trial opened on Monday, and on Friday we’re already in the Defense phase. Is it my imagination or is this moving at breakneck pace?

Apparently the second officers on the scene (Guyger was first) attempted CPR while awaiting the ambulance. So why not her?

Well, for a prosecution already accused here of being defendant-friendly, this seems pretty strong. Further, it seems right out of the gate to oppose any self-defense theories and offers reasonable alternative scenarios for the bullet’s path. The best way to deal with defense team stories is to torpedo them even

Btw, what does “white and white passing” mean, exactly?

A bit off-topic, but I’m curious: the other week the former chief of Canadian intelligence was arrested for espionage. Will this figure into this election?

Don’t forget the musical score, which seems to have been composed on a secondhand Casio keyboard.

So, has Raggie the driver been arrested? It’s been more than a year.

Does Jussie have an alibi?
