I don’t know if it would past muster with the Internet, but I would love if the captain was not a human. We’ve had 5 Star Trek shows with five human captain. Why not get an Andorran or a Vulcan?(or, if fan speculation are onto something, a Klingon?) Nothing prevents an alien to also be a non-white woman.
