But that's the thing: It's a big win because I believe Gawker, and any other entity/person like it that does this shit, deserves all of this for what they did. They broke privacy laws and deserves to be punished.

This is a pretty big loss for Gawker if they SOMEHOW had to pay all of this despite going into appeals. In 2012 they were estimated to be worth $300 million. It's probably gone up in that four year span but that's still close to a third of their net worth gone in one trial.

Of course they are friends in real life and of course they did that.

Honestly, why isn't Netflix doing this more often? They can't be bothered to fight streaming rights anymore for good movies from the past like the early days. So why not go for films that are coming out now?
