In oh so many ways that have nothing to do with this tedious show.
Why is Grey's Anatomy's strength surprising? There's a reason it is entering its 11th season … hella popular. If it makes precipitous decline in ratings this season, it will probably be because mainstay Sandra Oh has left the show.
Well I gave it a try, but after 6 episodes I'm done with this show. I hope those of you still on board continue getting something out of it — no more long walks down gloomy corridors for me. If I don't care a bit about what happens with any of these folk by now, I'm not likely to in the remainder of the season. It…
How do you film a 100-page speech?
Originally, Chinatown was not supposed to have any scenes in the eponymous neighborhood. But the studio insisted, thinking audiences would be confused about the title.
SEQUEL SPOILERS: This Is the Night I Left You at the Museum
You had me at "Dylan O'Brien," but then you had to go talking about "ripped" teenage boys "stripped-bare" in a "testosterone-heavy habitat" and now I have to lie down … I think I have the vapors.
I am enjoying it for Michael O'Neill's performance. He's one of a few actors who can go from menacing/patriarchal authority figure to sympathetic psycho-obsessive without missing a beat or making you think, 'wait, this is not the same guy from earlier in the season.' He underwent a similar transition in his…
He's dancing in strip clubs now.
That was a complete 'WTF?' moment for me.
Yeah, I liked it too, though it did kinda wear me out by the end. But keeping in mind that it was designed as a pilot and not the stand-alone movie that it ended up being shown as, it was still pretty satisfying. Jonathan Tucker really did steal the show.
No it certainly isn't. Did you think I was blaming her? If so, perhaps your reading comprehension skills could use a little work.
Still excited to watch this, and I'm only lukewarm on Hannibal. I'm glad Fuller's got the clout/recognition to get it aired, even if it ultimately proves to be not-quite-successful.
Hope springs eternal…
It would be different in that care wouldn't be denied based solely on ability to pay.
In all the years I lived in NYC, it never stopped, not dead in its tracks. Blizzards, power outages, approaching hurricanes, you name it. The only thing that brought the city to a crawl, briefly, was 9/11.
Gus has taken his shirt off and looked sexy in a tank top. Added plenty to this season.
That's interesting, that you say that Eph is painted as a self-involved jerk in the books, at least early on. I'm not getting as clear a perspective on him from the show (not having read the books). I keep thinking the show wants us to see him as the hero, but it's not doing anything to make him heroic.
It was well-directed, by John Dahl (one of my favorites), who has also directed a couple of episode of Outlander this season. But it didn't have too much else going for it. I'd stick with a C+.
