It felt contrived and forced to me, but many share your opinion.

Veronica Cartwright really went through the ringer on that film. She had only read for Ripley and after she was cast, she showed up to wardrobe thinking she was playing to Ripley. They had to break the news to her that she had been cast as Lambert.
I thought he was trying to diversify — "Lookie, I can be an action star! .. Even with my Oscar!"
Yes, the windshield wiper bit was the funniest joke in the show, I thought. Fet is so eminently practical.
It blows The Leftovers out of the water.
Dammit, I had forgotten about Helix and now you reminded me. I can't believe I made it through 13 episodes.
I find them fascinating precisely because they aren't the type of couple people are encouraged to 'ship. The relationship between the real Masters and Johnson was pretty fucked up, at least by conventional romantic notions of what a married couple should be. It's got to be hard to center a show on two central…
I was so glad Bill and Gini realized they had an expert on the subject of erectile dysfunction in their midst. It would have been so easy for them to be dismissive of Betty's considerable experience with the issue.
Didn't think too much of this episode, but I'm just trying to hang in there without getting too frustrated. But one thing I'm now grateful for: The X-Files came along at a time before smart phones were ubiquitous. The way this show is constantly showing us things on phones is irritating me to no end. I long for the…
Grade is a little harsh, IMO, though I don't disagree with the substance of the review. But two intentionally funny bits not mentioned that got me to laugh:
— Mrs. Fitz's catty retort about the woman wearing a lovely dress…the same lovely dress she wore at last year's gathering.
— Claire's minder asking if "sedative"…
And at least this episode there weren't scenes of Claire and Jamie touching as a poor substitute for fondling. Jamie only took his shirt off once in front of Claire, but they weren't alone and it was brief. The show seems to have a good sense of just how much it can tease us before we get too impatient for the…
I can't decided if this all sounds racist or sexist or both. I will be pondering and will get back to you with my righteous indignation when I figure it out.
Thanks for the background. I was disappointed with the way the episode handles this whole thing. It was all an exposition dump and wasn't as dramatic as your description of the books makes it sound. It didn't give Jamie enough to work with and didn't give viewers enough of a sense of what was at stake.
My Jurassic Park slash fiction is still un-optioned. It's a new and very hip, erotic take on why dinosaurs went extinct.
I'm kind of on an inadvertent roll of seeing Ben Feldman's horror movie appearances (admittedly, there aren't too many), so I can't stop now. I have to see this. Curse you, Ben Feldman!
TMI … my head is exploding. I still can't get over that they can afford full-time staff for one fanboy website. And now … they can't even get along. (Actually, I guess that's more predictable … "Are you the Judean People's Front?" "No, we're the People's Front of Judea!")
There is a website called "Winter Is Coming" that employs people full-time for a show that does 10 episodes a year? I'm gobsmacked.
That's what I thought.
True, but the industry regulates itself to avoid tripping over titles that are or might still be viable. It doesn't carry the force of law, but it does carry the force of ostracization.
Hey I resent that! :)
