It's been a while since I revisited Sirk's films. Thanks for the reminder. Of those I have recall reasonably well, WOTW is the most fabulous and jarring. I just don't see how anyone could watch that and not think "subversive." Dorothy Malone and Robert Stack (but, especially, Malone)…
