    Gigabit actually does mean 1,024 Megabits Per Second, the emphasis on bits not Bytes. At 8 bits per Byte that leaves a vast difference between a little b and a big B. There is little difference therefore between 128 MBps and 1024 Mbps. Just so that people understand that capitalization actually does matter.
