Unfortunate that "Manhattan" didnt make the list, but the brilliance of the show (and it's award winning title sequence) was overlooked by a lot of people (many whom could not find WGN America on their cable lineup or knew to look for it at all).

I concur with most of this list but see a glaring omission that the incredible cast and performances in "Manhattan" was ignored. Hickey, Williams, Zuckerman, and Chernus gave consistently outstanding performances throughout the second season and yet only Kirk was recognized so far.

The performance in "Open House" where he extracts Russell's broken tooth in a wordless scene… especially with all of the intimacy needed yet with the underlying growing trust issues between them … was Emmy worthy

Agreed - the "Waler Taffet", "Open House", and season finale episodes really were standouts from the past season with incredible performances (just the scene from Open House where Rhys has to extract Russell's broken tooth is an indelible performance).

While I appreciate the title sequence nod, that won't help WGN justify additional seasons. Manhattan needs viewers and *usually* a major Emmy nod will pique additional viewer's curiosity

OK…WTH is wrong with the Emmy nominators? "The Americans" snubbed again ?? It has been consistently better than "Homeland" for several seasons. I'd even argue that "Manhattan" was better than "Homeland."
