Maggie Mull, with sympathy on the loss of her father Martin.

That’s a mod. Factory it had a large single goldish colored cover. Source: I own one.

This is a terrible compromise. So much pork. Not as quick as pure EVs. And all that BMW complication. Still requires a plug to get the EV benefit (and needs to be plugged in more frequently).

Uh oh. You brought up ‘left-foot braking’...prepare for this discussion to veer off-course.

Exactly. Just what the world needs is moms with 3 car seats in cars with 1100 horsepower or the elderly that confuse the accelerator with the brake pedal. Speed was not an issue with most cars for the past 10 years or so. EV’s should be more focused on getting the most range from each kilowatt. So many of them are

EVs with eleventy-billion horsepower and instant acceleration. What could possibly go wrong in the hands of the unwashed masses, even when they are working properly - never a given with a Tesla product.

As an addendum to this, I always thought the Fox-body Mercury Capri was better looking than the contemporary Mustang:

67-70 Mercury Cougar over 67-70 Mustang

I feel like the only reason the Cordoba sold so well was because of Ricardo Montalban.

The early 80's Chrysler Imperial:

JCPenney? that looks more like Flagg Bros.

never before have relief and disappointment been such close bedfellows

Not a terrible price, but speaking as someone who used to restore these, they aren’t really fit for human occupation. Jaguar design staff must have been shaped different in the 1950s and 1960s than the rest of humanity. The seats, while adjustable, are not really adjustable enough or in the correct directions. The

It’s an article about a car. Owned by a dude famous for “driving” cars in bad movies. And famous for owning a racing team. And famous for dying in a famous car. I’m not sure why this article feels so out of place for you on an automotive blog. Just because it speaks about how he was also famous for having a preference

He’s bringing shitfaced back!

Nope. Not better. The split grille is an improvement in my opinion; but I’ll take it a step further and say Nissan should have made the divider even thicker and shaped the ends of the upper grille somewhat so it doesn’t look so much like a mail slot.

The Dodge Charger Daytona EV:

As a Z fan and owner, I’m going to have to completely disagree with your take here. I hate the mega mouth look and think the heritage split grille is an absolutely massive improvement. Being able to choose this grille is a fantastic option.

Just offer them a nominal fee for placing panels/turbines on their land.

And bought a cybertruck.
