It’s like the guys who were upset about the last couple of Star Wars movies because the villains seemed too much like their favorite politicians...If the bad guys in a film franchise that is thirty years old seem like the kind of guy you like, you’re probably on the wrong side of history.

Nazis used to go hand in hand with zombies as the least likely enemies to cause controversy over killing.

I find it ironic that these assholes haven’t gotten the lesson that video games have been drilling into our heads since the 80's: Nazis are the bad guys. They have always been the bad guys and, if you support them, then you are a bad person.

I remember there used to be so many WW2 games because it was considered completely morally safe to kill Nazis; they were the ultimate evil and ultimate bad guys.

More than 10 times a day. And it really, truly is mentally and spiritually exhausting. I can’t imagine how much worse it would be if I were one of the dozens of millions of people who sit more squarely in the crosshairs of the cruelty and hatred he embodies.

The Quicker Fucker Upper

So, seriously, I know we’re 10 months in but how often do the rest of you have one of those “Oh right, Donald Fucking Trump is the President of the United States” moments? It happens to me less often now but still, you know, once or twice a week. The guy they used to make fun of in Bloom County, the guy Ali G screwed

Seems like CSPD ought to be less worried about the calls coming from journalists, and more worried about the calls

Despite the extreme likelihood that this was bullshit, Fox News ran with it, as did the New York Post, the Mirror, local outlet KRDO, the Daily Caller, the Daily Mail, Thrillist, and the Kansas City Star.

If we’re talking all sports, this guy would write a blues masterpiece about the banner.

Dean Spanos might be the thinnest skinned babyman in the NFL, which is no small feat.

This football god chortled.

“Oh, Mondays are open? Sour for Peter, but sweet for me. Time for Gregggg to move up a day!” -Gregg Easterbrook, TMQB

Considering how intergrated MMQB is within SI’s website, as Laura pointed out, the better question is, “does it matter if MMQB continues to exist?”. I mean I get why they launched under the name, since King’s column is so popular, but is anyone going to stop clicking over to read Benoit Klemko or whomever?

The inherent contradiction in King’s role at MMQB is that everyone acknowledges he has unprecedented access to the inner workings of the NFL...yet he does absolutely nothing of note with it. Does he ever take on anything remotely ground-breaking or controversial? No. He polishes Goodell’s nuts and offers bland

We regret to inform you the water is racist

The most recent arena proposal from the Flames was released last week. They “offered” to pay for around 1/3 of the cost as long as they didn’t have to pay rent. Calgary’s still trying to recover from the low oil prices (downtown office space has ~33% vacancy) and, for the most part, people aren’t willing to hand over

Nothing like napalming your bridges with a city’s political leadership to help you achieve your goals. Bettman’s less popular than Trump in Canada. If he thinks this approach is going to get the results he wants, he’s delusional.
