Complete bullshit. He had Kobe and Jordan. I think I could have got all those rings with that.

Well, I think Boston isn’t quite as savy. Rumours had them willing to trade a bunch of Brooklyn’s picks a couple of years ago so they could draft justice Winslow. But Charlotte didn’t bite...because Michael Jordan is a terrible owner and really wanted Frank Kaminsky.
Destiny’s set up isn’t perfect.
In a game like Destiny, this is acceptable. The rarity and randomness is an element of the game design - it might be frustrating, but it’s frustrating (and eventually rewarding) in the same way, for everyone.
4 All Time Greats, 4. Pippen is wildly underrated and should not be.
Those MSG security dicks were especially grabby. I’d have been pissed off, too.
*5 all-time greats. Jordan, Pippen, Rodman, Kobe, Shaq. You could also throw in Malone and Payton, and even Robert Horry, if you wanted to.
Lakers fan here. Yes, the more we got to know Jackson the deeper the eye rolls became. L.A. does not miss him.
They could definitely get something for Carmelo. The problem is, Phil has been stupidily waging a public campaign to make Carmelo look bad, so now no one wants to give up much of anything, knowing it’s toxic.
Nice take kid. PJ was always just a hipster dufus with wickedly good talent to boot. The talent pool is now too deep for him to stand in.
I believe it was on the Zach Lowe podcast where I heard someone offer this theory. When you’re Coach Jackson and with the players everyday and building a more solid foundation for your relationship, you can play the little media-driven motivation games that he likes so much, because there’s enough of a relationship to…
Speaking of Fox News, look at this shit::
Bullshit? The guy won 11 titles as a coach. It’s not bullshit, he was a great coach. A mediocre coach can luck into a title or two maybe by having great players but not 11. The guy was a great coach, anyone who now tries to for play that doesn’t know what they are talking about or just don’t want to give jackson…
I won’t pretend to know about Phil Jackson intimately but at any rate I’d think it’s fair to say that it’s a lot easier to be a zen master when you have 2-3 of the most dominant players for their respective eras on your team.
Was it total BS? No. He WAS a master manipulator of difficult personalities. Jordan rightfully gets remembered as the ultimate competitor, but he was famously difficult to get along with. Keeping Jordan and Pippen together as long as he did, and managing Rodman, is, in my opinion, as monumental a task as any coach can…
As a lifetime Lakers fan, the whole Zen Master is bullshit. All his rings were earned while coaching two generational players at a time
Phil Jackson is just demonstrating what everyone who could pay attention already knew: He was a “good coach” because he had legendary teams under his tenure.
