You’re gonna need a pretty damn huge wank motion. That’s a shitload of (100 percent correct) people you’re wanking at.
Jesse Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor seems richly deserving to me, but I’d be fine with Affleck not being nominated. Also: I’m not sure that Henry Cavill is lively enough to be called terrible. He’s the epitome of bland.
Sure. I agree that it’s not impossible, just meant to argue that it would be a more difficult do-over than Deadpool. It’s probably moot anyway; I doubt he’d take the role or that they’d offer it.
He’s played two different Deadpools now. The second wasn’t a continuation of the first. They even made fun of the first Deadpool (and Green Lantern too)
The Downey who starred in the first Iron Man was not the superstar he has since become. His career had been derailed by his drug habit; not only was he not seen as a tentpole star, but the general consensus was that Marvel was making a risky choice by casting him.
So you totally ignored the detailed, evidence-based arguments contained in this post, or at least made no effort to rebut them, and instead opted to lob a flimsy, dismissive attack on entirely partisan grounds.
I still see the same basic problem with your point that I previously did, which is that you’re basically just sending me a positive review and a negative review and saying, SEE! The second one is more critical!! Of course it is. If Mr. Lane thought The Avengers was as flawed as you did, he would have liked the movie…
See, what I want is exactly the experience you describe, but I don’t get even that from these movies. Especially the fun part. If I found the DC movies to be fun, I think I’d forgive their other flaws. But I don’t. They’re dour, angst-y slogs for me. The experience is something like being cornered at a party by the…
You’re entitled to your opinions of the Marvel films, but to say that “no one really reviews” Marvel movies, frankly, is wrong. The film reviews that Rotten Tomatoes collects are almost all from professional film reviewers with no stake in the DC/Marvel rivalry, and no reason to “actually” review one studio’s films…
This show is never happening.
The worst thing with DC movies is not that they are terrible, its that people love tearing them apart. No one is this critical of Marvel movies.
Given that a lack of narrative flow has been my major problem with the other DCCU movies, I don’t really need my salt shaker. I don’t think they deserve the benefit of the doubt in that regard.
Still protesting too much, I see.
I’m glad the people making these movies don’t feel the way you do.
Wait, this movie is called Justice League Dark? Based on the previews and the promo art I thought it was called Batman and his Magic Friends.
Yeah, that is a challenge, though I guess it could give us some info as to what happened in the aftermath of the destruction of the Republic capital and/or Starkiller Base. We were kind of left in the dark as to how the various factions stand after the events of the last film.
I’d like to see the Flash and Cyborg concept art for this film that was rejected, because I have a hard time imagining it was worse than what they actually chose. I don’t understand how Flash moves in that thing, let alone runs, and Cyborg looks like Generic Robo Henchman.Meanwhile, Batfleck has gone full Arkham,…
Nah, pretty sure I got your point: You think the Cavs were underdogs before this trade and are not anymore. Here’s mine: That’s incorrect. I believe Korver does not materially change the Cavs’ position in the NBA hierarchy relative to the Warriors, and therefore his acquisition is a strange reason to change your…
