Never forget

It’s going to be fascinating to look back at some of these deals in a few years. The figures are eye-popping, but this is essentially an unprecedented free agency period, given the massive cap jump this year.

I’ve posted to this effect before, but the fact remains: The Knicks are the only team of which I’ve ever been a fan that is so bad at developing talent and building a competitive roster that I actually feel happy for young players who GTFO before they’re completely broken. Shump was stuck here just a little bit too

Definitely a regional thing. I moved from New York to Florida when I was young and vividly recall being confused as hell by my teachers telling me to “put [thing] up” when I first got down there.

“Iggy needs to get his nuts checked.”

Is it really? Because that’s not how me and my (for the record: football loving, beer drinking, UFC pay-per-viewing, mid-20s) guy friends talk to each other. So hey, how about you stop laying the blame for your dickishness on our entire gender as opposed to where it belongs: your personal choice of friends and

You know what would have taken either of these characters in a surprising and meaningful new direction? If one had killed the other.

Obligatory:

As a sad Knicks fan, I’m painfully aware and shame-bound to note that Toronto has New York’s pick in this upcoming draft, thanks to the (... gulp... sigh... weep) Andrea Bargnani trade. Pre-lottery it’s the eighth position, so they’ll at least have a better chance than usual to find that missing piece.

Except that’s a farce, they lose money because they choose to spend themselves into deficits on ridiculous luxuries, not because college sports are inherently unprofitable. From the Washington Post:

How about the person inflicting the violence is the problem?

The Sixers are in an objectively far superior position today than when he took over.

More of a character flaw than a hobby, but yes, absolutely.

Hinkie amassed a ton of draft picks and constantly used the 76ers’ cap room to force his way into trades and acquire small assets. There’s an irony in the fact that, with the full quiver of picks that he’s rightfully proud of coming due in the 2016 draft, the smartest move for the 76ers is having anybody but Hinkie

Go Kristaps. GO. Please! Don’tcha see that I don’t want you anymore! Just, go on! *sobs*

You know things have gone sideways when James Dolan becomes the voice of reason and Knicks’ fans only hope.

You have a reasonable expectation of privacy in your home/hotel, which, yes, is being violated by D’Angelo Russell. But that’s a different issue than whether Fameolous publishing that video is also a privacy violation, as a publication of private facts, or is protected as newsworthy.

Oh, yeah, sure. Probably teaching those puppies to do vicious teeth-first takeout slides... SMDH...

As a rational human, I’m trying to remind myself that the Mets rotation is really deep and it’s only Spring.
