If a car drives into you going 60 or 80 mph you are history no matter what size it is. Or 30 or 40 for that matter. But because of European pedestrian safety standards at least in a survivable bonk a bicyclist should be better off than with cars from a decade or more ago.

Aren’t the headlights just normal sealed beam single rectangle ones? Maybe not the later (from about 1981) quartz version? Seems like an obvious technological dead end. Flying involves raising a weight - plane plus fuel and cargo (including people) a certain height above the ground.
