The the DMV where some commenter lives is open at 7:30 am! Why can’t someone without an ID get up at 4:00 am and get down there and get back for work starting at 9:00 am at 2:30 pm?
Once again, many people do not have a bank account or buy cigarettes or alcohol (which I haven’t been asked for an ID to buy in years). I rented the apartment I am sitting in right now without showing any ID. And if I had, I could have moved my grandmother in with me without her showing an ID.
Sadly I haven’t been asked for an ID to buy alcohol in years.

Many, particularly lower income people, do not have a bank account. And are old enough to not ever need an ID to buy alcohol, if they do indeed ever buy any. And don’t own guns - 2/3 of Americans in fact.
Many people in urban areas haven’t had a need for a driver’s license or other ID for years, if ever.
It was so long ago the beer there was sold at normal prices.
