Me too, and I think about it every time I’m waiting to make a left turn even 150 or so years later. 

I was driving across southern Brooklyn one day and thought it’s going to be a long time before a car could successfully do this itself. Once again I’m here to warn about the really crap NVH and ride of the Fit, and how I’m 5'10" tall and don’t really fit in the Fit. Its relative the HRV is a better fit than the Fit, but NVH and ride are not up to class standards either.

Needs wrap around windows in back. Also a car that looks like it’s made for road rips that isn’t practical for road trips is problematical.

I live in Brooklyn (unfashionable part) and your generalizations are not true or useful. Even guidebooks today for example will tell tourists that most people in the subway will be happy to help you with directions.

I have the previous model Forester which is CrossTrek (Impreza) based. It is a different world from even the last version Fit. 

I still think it was the NVH level of the Fit. I’ve gone on road trips in the latest model so I’m not imagining things. My Horizon was more comfortable.
