Cheap, no control arms or anything, and very space efficient for a van. Since the rear wheels aren’t driven it’s like a deDion suspension without the driven parts. No drive stresses on the springs. No heavy unprung drive axles and differential like older RWD cars. Really a good solution, actually.
I’ve driven the David model a lot, ridden in the first roundish one, and driven the next roundish one a lot. The roundish ones are far nicer. Despite the less advanced suspension I like the roundish ones a lot better than the just ending back to squarish one which I’ve also driven a lot.
Yes, it’s the worst.
Yes, then chromed it.
The Plymouth “Fury” with the starburst was 1960 only. One of several bits of gold jewelry on those.
Does Japan have crash standards like the US and EU?
A Forester is on the same platform as the Crosstrek, same dashboard, has way more cubic feet inside, more power, and a twice as big sun roof. It gets the same mpg highway and one less city.
I have a lot of experience with the current (ending) and previous generation Fit. I wouldn’t wish them on anyone, despite the fact that I like cleverly packaged and economical vehicles. Uncomfortable, and worst ride and NVH of anything.
Plus gas mileage, load floor height, parking, etc.
The RAV 4 isn’t smallish. It was about four generations ago. Not looking anything up but the new model looks bigger than the old one.
Isn’t all that stuff basic Chrysler issue?
Yeah, living in the San Francisco I once had a 5 speed Mazda that fortunately got totaled at 45K miles when a Buick turned left in front of me in a signaled intersection at the last second. By the way, a weird experience -entering the intersection at legal speed on a green light and “no that Buick is not possibly…
If you live in any urban area and don’t have your own parking space so you park on the street, having the shortest car around by a foot or two is a huge practical advantage. Only a Smart car is better, but obviously not worth it unless there are multiple 500's in the neighborhood.
I always thought that bulge with the chromey stripe across it was the worst possible way to create clearance for the six among any possible alternatives. And then later the 99 pence way they conformed to US bumper regs was even worse.
Everything that can be wrong is wrong about the Sagaris. Somehow it’s awesome anyhow.
Maybe you should take polysci class or something.
I mentioned Los Angeles because it used to be a reasonably priced place to live when San Francisco and New York City (or Manhattan anyway) were not. Now San Francisco is 6X and the rest of the Bay Area maybe 4X average for the US, and Los Angeles is about triple. There are RV’s parked everywhere, and that’s the luxury…
Obviously the Electoral College doesn’t do what it was conceived to do and is outdated by about two centuries besides. If we had a normal voting system for the presidential election we would have been saved from having the two most disastrous presidents in the past century.
So the for profit prison industrial complex In the world’s leading nation in numbers in jail by a long shot is offering prison guard positions. I guess everyone should move there and get those plum positions.
