The humorous comparison does start to become a "humorous" comparison when the formula becomes too plain—that's the detractor for me, at least.

Charlie Work is one of my all-time series' favorites now, though I've always had a soft spot for Charlie's character, out of all of them.

That scene gave me a tiny reminder of Buster Bluthe. "She wants to know if I can sleep there too. She says it's very important to her!" Lucille: *contrary mumbling*

Attendant: Sir, would you like to purchase any beverages for the fl—-
Tyrion Lannister: Save us both a bit of effort and just park the cart right here.

Absolutely. Right when Bob tries to tell the grown-up Chick that he understands what it's like to work for a demanding father and Louise interrupts, I had to stop for a moment and just appreciate the set up. THERE ARE MANY LAYERS IN THIS CARTOON SHOW.

Well, that makes much more sense.

I liked the idea that Monsanto takes over humanity's message to alien races, because honestly, corrupting the ideals of the human race is basically a Tuesday for Monsanto. Plus future Monsanto has a Veridian Dynamics vibe that made me nostalgic.
I know Michael is the unliked one of the group, but I really liked the

Was Preminger's Freeze the inspiration for Dr Evil? Visually, I mean.

I remember the game fondly—though some of the details are pretty vague. The fairy town building is a nice little minigame, the desert sequence is one of my most hated videogame memories (but in a good way) and the scholar/scientist with a bazooka wins my heart every time.

Corner Gas?

I kind of doubt anyone's going to read this at this point, but for the record, based on the season finale: nope. I was wrong. Garnet talking, singing, and anything else is amazing. More Garnet, please.

That's a really apt comparison; I always stumble trying to explain SU to people b/c the best I can do is Adventure Time comparisons ("It's like AT, but with a more gender-balanced focus." "So the leads are female?" "Ah—-almost."). The MLP might be a better route to that end (sometimes at least).

I kind of hate that Garnet doesn't talk more, because Swaray's delivery is so good, but at the same time, I know it's the rarity of her lines that make pretty much all of them gold.
(And I know that this is hardly an original observation, but it's a heartfelt one, dammit.)

And I' m on the fence about Gizmo Duck. (Although if we get a Darkwing Duck return instead, yes please.)

The Cleveland Show lost me for good at the "Brown Thanksgiving" episode. I'm usually one to stick with a show because of its flaws rather than despite them, but that one was just outright transphobic. Yes, I get that the real villain was supposed to be Cleveland's dad, but between the vomiting and the trope of the

Rogelio's insistence on "dad" really was cute.
The telenovella lens was a little on the nose for me—that it's basically a telenovella has always been the show's subtext, and if you make it text instead, it doesn't really add anything. (Although speaking of telenovellas, I want as much Pasion Intergalactica as

I always thought it was very in character that in "Ron and Diane," Donna was the first one to agree that the Jerry Dinner was mean-spirited, once an outsider (Ann) pointed it out.

My favorite was the part right after, when Leslie put up the team urinal. Mural! I mean mural!

The boggle tournament would be loud, drunk, and apocalyptic. No survivors. In the best way possible.

And we're commenting on a commentary about it.
