The real tragedy of this episode is that we're deprived of the apocalypse being brought to fruition by a sulky teenager. Still, I suppose Angel already covered a lot of that ground.

The Korra-Asami bit was really clumsy, but I appreciate that they at least brought it around to a point worth acknowledging, that, given everything that's happened, Korra probably *should* have doubts on whether the world needs an avatar. Too bad it couldn't have happened in a way that was a little less contrived.

I'm with you on the Family Guy treatment. And it was even worse on The Cleveland Show, where they went full out with the "transpeople are trying to 'trick' you" idea AND used the idea of a transwoman for multiple vomit gags. I gave up watching the show at that point.

I didn't know (or had forgotten) that Weisman was part of Spectacular Spider-Man. That explains why I liked it so much.

The weird Sisters calling her on that is one of the most brutal verbal takedowns I've seen in a cartoon.

I know this is a fairly predictable gag, but I did love that, with Breakfast Princess absent, Strudel Princess went on to settle all disputes in record time.

Well sure. But they pretty much literally did that in the City of Stone 4 parter where she was more Lady Macbeth than Macbeth's wife.

Mystique's probably the better X-Men comparison. (Redhead with a penchant for betrayal and trickery, self-serving but claims to work for a greater good, puts a lot of energy into trying to win over a lost daughter figure…Maybe too on the nose?)

Poor Brooklyn. He is the Cyclops of the Gargoyles.

As someone who's been lurking in these comment threads for months now, I just wanted to say what a great experience this was. Zach's reviews have been a weekly insightful reminder as to why I fell for this show to
