For what it's worth, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend got pretty bad ratings for its series premiere. It was apparently tied with "the now-defunct The Messengers and Cult as the lowest-rated in-season scripted series premiere on the CW among 18-49 with the smallest premiere viewership ever." That's a 0.3 among the 18-49 demo and

That was an incredibly-scored sequence. I did enjoy the percusion as well, especially how the arrangement kept building up until the start of the match.

Todd Barry as a 1900s dentist is great. I wouldn't be averse to Nathan Fielder popping up as some experimental psychiatrist.

This soundtrack is one of the best in all of TV. Someone on a thread the other day made the point that the show chose the modernized, electronic-influenced music because, by listening to it, we are subconsciously pulled into the series' universe through our senses. And because of that, we're made to feel that theirs

Hey, next episode I'll block all that gross stuff out for you if you want.

"I could say that God sent an angel down to earth to instruct me, or that there was something divine about it. But there wasn't. The women needed help, and I helped them. So it's true. I am what they say I am."

"The Knick" AND "The Last Kingdom?" Hoo baby!

"Frozen River" is one of my favorite movies, she was brilliant. Happy to hear that she could've passed as a local!

And pop some pills in the bathroom, maybe do a few lines, and—

Oh, Melissa. I love you so very much. You can throw a frying pan at me any time.

Or hang with Sal Onanobananafuckinthing.

He was a true boxing expert, a great writer, and a very funny guy. R.I.P.

That was definitely one of the worst robberies of the past twenty years, on par with Pacquiao-Bradley 1, Lewis-Holyfield 1, Rios-Abril, etc. But then again, boxing is full of those types of occurences. Corruption is pretty much ingrained in the sport. Yet there are still beautiful moments in between.

Hey, he somewhat redeemed himself by introducing Alan to Cathy at the end. That's love, man…at a discount.

Great article, thanks for the link. The part on Sue Stanford the Ghost Realtor was the best. I can't believe she'd been continuing Nathan's promotion (at the time, at least). Then again, doesn't every man, woman, and child have the right to a ghost-free home?

Not just good to have this show back. It's really good to have this show back.

"The customer may have been determined. But once he came face to face with our alligator, it was all over."

Well, Foreman did predict it'd be a knockout.

I love Larry Merchant, second only to Jim Lampley in terms of favorite boxing commentators. I'll never forget Larry's remark when Foreman tried giving a product endorsement of his grill after the Shannon Briggs match: "And what does that have to do with the price of tea in China or the result of this fight?"

Unless you live in a microverse. Then I've got some bad news for you. Especially regarding the carbon in your mother's ovaries…
