Hey, to each their own. After talking with @avclub-d0cf409eb912cc0cc950b41b6d892d07:disqus I can understand now how the main focus of the scene was Ray's reaction. Still, I just thought she'd been a major enough character—especially after the shooting when she got the squad back together—that her death might have been

Not a fan of either, huh? I can understand the hate for "Birdman," but I've not heard this level of ire directed at "Slumdog."

Waiting for the Review/True Detective crossover: "There All Is Fucking."

Please tell me it'll be sung by Sad Guitar Playing Girl. I'm sure she'd be the studio's first pick anyway.

"Ey, you better watch out for Joey T. up in Queens. That fuckin' prick's like an anaconda and a shark."

"Nightcrawler" was just incredible, and Gyllenhaal's performance really sold the inhuman feel of his character. Sociopathic, solely rooted in self-interest, obsessive, ambitious to a fault. Shares a few similarities with Daniel Plainview actually—that other demented, cinematic entrepreneur.

Might be harder than you think. They do teach fire safety in preschool.

Wow. This might be the most disturbing thing I've ever seen. I, uh…wow.

In Roy 3 he finds out he has a doppelgänger. The question is…who's the real Roy?

There are no words to describe how dementedly brilliant the "Roy" part was. A game where you see how well you can unknowingly lead a virtual life…jeez. "Rick and Morty" isn't just hilarious. It comes up with some genius stuff.

"Hey Daphne, come down here. I taught Eddie a new trick."

Quality observations, especially about no-boner cop, who I'll probably miss the most. Also, the laughable "15 Famous Gay Men You Married Women" ad line is almost matched in hilarity by the ad "You Won't Believe What These Game of Thrones Actors…" that just cuts off near the end. What won't I believe, ad? WHAT WON'T I

If I may make a slight edit…

To be honest, the whole diamond element of the plot has me confused as well.

While I don't agree with having no emotional attachment to the characters (I like Ray and Ani, and Paul's death was particularly jarring tonight), I do agree that the more convoluted plot lines have not done the overall story any favors this season. Those five major plot points you laid out from season one pretty much

Ray gets that good stuff. I bet he even knows how to roll a cross joint.

The way he spoke throughout the movie was basically like an alien who'd studied what to say in order to progress through society and the business world, but didn't have the proper cadence or manner of speaking. All the rushed speeches he made and "fortune cookie" phrases he spouted…man, Lou was one creepy dude. But

"Nightcrawler" was my favorite movie last year. You're right, her role was pretty memorable despite her not having so much screen time.

Maybe I'm nitpicking, since I pretty much agreed with every other assessment you made. I just love Michael Hyatt, and didn't expect her character's death to be so "subdued" for lack of a better word. It definitely added to Ray's reaction though, and that was certainly the main objective of the scene. So yes, you do

"Everything is fucking!
Everything is pointless, vile, and obscene!
Everything is fucking!
I don't know know what my life means!
