Well, that’s a little encouraging, perhaps. I really hope this team puts a lot of the creativity and energy they’ve shown into a version of Hyrule with more dungeon-like spaces in it. They don’t necessarily have to be the old school “find an item that acts like a key in different locations” -style dungeon, but puzzle-o

I just hope someone fixed that .dtf file and subscribed to the right over-the-top cable service!

It reminds me a lot of when Demon’s Souls released with the soft online coop mechanics and think it’s great. I also probably won’t use it much since it seems distracting for how I like to play these games, but I’m sure a lot of people will have fun with it.

Yeah, they look like they basically function as a warp pipe to a different version of the level with different mechanics. I know it’s not literally a warp, but from a design perspective it’s a branch in the level to an alt (I assume more challenging) path.

Is it? I couldn’t find anything with a search but I hardly doubt those old episodes are thoroughly documented. I definitely forgot about that opening rap until just now though...

I had to quit Destiny way back because it was too much of a time suck but I do like reading articles about it and, from someone who has been out of the know for a while, yeah Strand looks SUPER Hive-y and seems like it would fit way better in what I know of Witch Queen. It feels very out of place for what I’ve seen in

I’m sure I’ll get some flack but I found the original book to be incredibly uneven and am a little surprised it’s getting a TV show. I felt like it was trying to incorporate a bunch of elements and check a bunch of boxes (which it did), but the actual execution of these elements was... flat and overstayed its welcome.

The whole grays thing is so bizarre. I’m not gray for Kotaku but gray for all the other sites in the same ring so... that makes sense, I guess. And despite commenting a fair bit of (mostly) constructive content, I have not been made un-gray in... 5 years? 7? I don’t know exactly how long but it’s a looooong time

It’s spite. People with the amount of money they do perceive that wealth as equivalent to absolute power and supremacy. The idea that those lowly, filthy writers would ever dare to strike is, to these people, like the tiny, harmless spider that hangs out in your window and catches bugs “daring” to walk along the

So... what’s the logic here? I don’t know how much the strike affects being able to release a movie, so reading this as a layperson, it sounds like... spite?

I liked them both quite a bit. I love AW’s setting and as someone who isn’t a heavy action or horror gamer, I thought the gameplay hit a perfect point of just being simple enough without adding a whole bunch of combos/dodging/etc stuff that I don’t care for (hopefully that stays the sameish...)

I both hate and love the deep sea. Yikes.

It’s possible to care about systems that inherently favor the already established and successful but also want whoever is on screen to deliver and be happy when they do. I like Wyatt just fine (and like Kurt a lot), but it’s always disappointing to see some “new” actor just be the connected son/daughter/niece/nephew

I have a ton of respect for Stephen King (and also for his own name change), but is there any info on whether or not Joe Hill went through the getting representation process without any assistance from his dad? That’s really a huge hurdle in making it as a trad author and if SK got him that, it certainly is a huge

Huh. Color me informed. Also apparently Lou Gehrig gave Bing Russell the bat he used to hit his last home run before retiring. Also makes me think what a coincidence it was that Lou Gehrig died of Lou Gehrig’s disease.

This seems pretty neat! I feel like these Monsterverse items could make for an awesome limited series, provided they keep the non-monster stuff intriguing and fun and not just filler between CGI bursts.

I like no deaging, I don’t like nepobabies so much. Wyatt’s been solid in Black Mirror and in Falcon/Winter Soldier, but I’m still not convinced he would’ve gotten where he is without the nepotism.

Hmm, none of those major releases really feel like they’re in the same genre as AWE2 so it’s disappointing to see them lose some of the October Halloween stretch, which really feels like it’ll work for AWE2. No idea how the streaming community operates, but I feel like they might’ve seen a boost from streaming a

I think you mean they’re editor

LOL yeah I saw that pic and thought... really guys? You couldn’t just crop the photo and show the guys side by side? You had to use MS Paint to hide her identity?
