I would take a new Vagrant Story in a goddamn heartbeat.
I would take a new Vagrant Story in a goddamn heartbeat.
Looking at Spinch, all I’ve got to say is: White supremacist propaganda is getting WEIRD.
Oh god, as someone who hates moving this is actually making me feel pretty stressed just watching the trailer...
Not everyone has the same relationship to alcohol and it’s not always possible to place people along a spectrum with cut-offs for who can/can’t go to a bar with alcohol. Some people do have problems with exposure as you said, and others are generally fine but sometimes want to give themselves a nudge in a sober…
Hahah, yeah though it seems more experiential than that and I can see people paying a “premium” to support the endeavor and to have interaction with a like-minded group of people also willing to pay that premium. I mean, that’s basically what every single cover charge model is, a premium so you can spend time around…
It doesn’t bother me that the article mentions he’s black. It is currently an insanely racially-charged time in the US, and sadly there are people coming out of the woodwork to directly or indirectly voice negative opinions about black people. A story about a well-intentioned endeavor that’s run by a black man can’t…
I have not really been following this at all but seeing those screenshots really does make me think of Destiny. Not sure if that’s a good thing or not.
I suspect we are going to see people setting up elaborate tracks in a bunch of outdoor environments. Hell, we might soon be watching Mario Kart Live videos on YouTube a la Jelle’s Marble Runs
Random guess based on nothing: After that period they decouple Mario 64, turn it into a standalone (hopefully for cheap but who knows with Nintendo), and add in Galaxy 2 into a new 3D All Stars collection.
Great game. Great soundtrack. Makes me wish there were more indies that like this that hit the sweet spot between accessibility, (optional) difficulty, and fun. Ever since Dark Souls took off, it seems like a huge chunk of indies are just trying to be as Dark Soulsian tough as possible and I’m an old man with…
Sure. As it stands in American politics, the party that is pro-military and says it’s pro- small government is also incredibly pro- corporate welfare, so I’m not quite sure that salient point helps, at least in the US.
I never understood how someone could be pro-military—which for the US had a $721B budget for 2020 alone—and be pro- small government. Once you’re spending three quarters of a trillion annually on any single sector of government, you are by definition big government.
Only 20 minutes in but it seems to be based in the Oldest House so far, but with its connection to Alan Wake I wouldn’t be surprised to see something similar to that setting (basically Twin Peaks) show up a little. Excited to what they do!
Huh, that did not fit my experience at all. For me, I was sold on a paranormal interior location with thriller-y / urban fantasy vibes, which I feel like I got in spades. I didn’t need nor want Control to be a horror action game and I appreciated that it had a rhythm of regular down time to allow me to enjoy the…
100% agreed. What Control did that I both adore and envy is lean into the inherent unease of large, empty man-made structures. Even without all the supernatural elements, all it takes is a walk through a deserted building or an office floor late at night to get creeped out.
Whoa, I totally forgot this was coming out and I am psyched that it’s today and that this article wasn’t a tease some three weeks out. Can’t wait to dive in this weekend!
For what it’s worth, Findom is pretty controversial in its relationship to the larger BDSM world and many BDSM community members look down on Findoms as people who are appropriating elements of the BDSM community in order to (you guessed it) make a quick buck. From what I’ve heard, there are a few people who practice…
Huh. Steam says May 21, 2020, so that’s what I was going off of. Good to know.
Looks great. I am confused by the headline of this article and you “finally” discovering it--it came out in May, right? I kinda just assumed it was years old and a hidden gem, not less than 3 months old...
Nifty. I like that they’re using their engine to do some more supernatural-type stuff, though I would also be pleased to see a single player experience that introduces Japanese myths/monsters too.
