I actually didn’t care much for the flying in Control, and would’ve been fine without it, I think. But I leaned heavily into the Launch tree and really, really enjoyed it, so that could just be me.

Maaaaaybe? I mean, I’m not sure how Dan would even do that. He’s in prison and he’s got to be pretty old by now, and likely in not great physical shape. Plus, while he didn’t reveal what Adrian did in 85, he sure didn’t like it all that much. I do want to see Dan again but it feels a bit of a reach to have Dan be the

Interesting. I did consider Petey might be Laurie’s personal superhero, doing recon while on the case... though he was pretty obvious and out in the open for that. Considering there is a scene right after Lube Man of Petey walking ashamedly into Laurie’s office while Angela is there, it does seem very likely Petey is

“It’s time we adopted this as our official language.”

I’ve been thinking about this and I think it has to be a D we’re not expecting.

Why in the world would Dan save Adrian?

Although Wade allowed himself to be deceived, he’s proven to be pretty smart and at the very least thoroughly paranoid. I would be shocked if his home wasn’t setup with the expectation that the 7K might show up one day, though I don’t necessarily think him getting the security system means he realizes the 7k are right

Honestly I use it so often that I forgot it was a feature and just... I don’t know, thought that it was some witchcraft I took for granted.

God I have been resisting getting Death Stranding because I keep making impulse buys only to find there is some major issue / imminent price drop but with articles like this it’s pretty tough as I want to experience the world.

The number of candles on the cake in each episode. Ep 1, the cake had one candle, Ep 2 had two, and Ep 3 had three. The timing roughly matches up as well with what was mentioned about Veidt’s last public appearance being in 2007 (in Ep 1, I think), given that this Watchmen takes place in 2019.

It appears each Veidt scene is spaced a year apart, and what we’re getting is a 9 (?) year recap of Veidt’s struggle to get out of his biosphere. I know this season is not supposed to end on a cliffhanger and is meant to be self-contained (but still possible to be expanded), so I’m wondering at what year we’ll have

Who knew this is where she would end up at this stage of her career?

Perhaps he’s a double-agent of sorts. He tells the Calvary that he’s with them, uses his dad’s/grandfather’s KKK-standing as his proof, and then says he’ll infiltrate the cops to keep an eye on their behaviors and the like, while actually intending to undermine them. Calvary finds out and boom, he ded.

Apparently Lindelof and Snyder are friends (?) so if anything it’s more of an homage, playful reference. Though yeah, definitely channeling Snyder’s Watchmen.

Fair enough and to each their own--I love it. It’s not particularly subtle, but I like both the contrast it has with more subtle allusions in the show and how it complements the comic tone.

Was that actually the trailer for the Ring? The most horrifying and dread-inducing scene in its entirety?

After years of being excited for things and buying them right away, I have finally learned my lesson. I’ll wait to make sure there are no surprise gotchas here, such as terrible performance, awful UI, unbalanced difficulty, etc. And seeing as how games seem to instantly drop by 20-30% in the first 6 weeks, maybe I’ll

Man, this stings. Bought BL3 at launch for $60, found it almost impossible to properly play on console with the UI and menu size (I’m not right in front of my TV) and couldn’t even get a refund because I’d already downloaded the game. And now it’s already $34... well, that’ll teach me I guess.

I think I know what you mean, even if I don’t feel it to the extent you do. I get moveset fatigue relatively early in games and often reach a point around a game’s 35-40% mark that, if it keeps adding moves and permutations of existing moves, I begin to feel almost... overwhelmed? Not that the moves or permutations

Black Pyramids? I wonder what the Destiny team thought when Control came out...
