Things like this make me optimistic.

Good article.

Blah blah blah...Plato whined that writing would make people stupid. Luddites aren't to be taken seriously.

I find it very interesting that debt is still a problem. Besides student loans, I don't have any debt (not even a mortgage, since I sold my house). This is mostly because I was raised in a family overcome by debt from the day I was born, and I always thought people of my generation (I'm 27) were familiar with debt

I had Boot Camp and XP installed on my MacBook, but got rid of them because I just never use them.

I can't do the things I want to do with WYSIWYG software, so I code by hand.

@SomewhereOutThere: Right on. Professional help is essential for estate planning. No exceptions. If for no other reason, at least do it to save your family some probate and estate tax costs.

My wife and I just re-wrote our wills after the birth of our daughter 8months ago. Our lawyer gave us a couple of really great tips about these kind of documents and how to use them... uh... before you use them.

I would love to be able to schedule/postpone a reply since I often work very late hours (3 am) and I don't want my customers to find out exactly how much I love my work :-)

My comment will provide no witty or enlightening information... just another log on the quicksilver fire that will, no doubt, engulf this post.

Yikes...

To Pixelantes Anonymous: Not if you use a variable annuity such as Hartford Leaders who's expense ratio is only 1.35%, which is a lot less than the taxes.

Cheers for SomaFM. I wake up to Groove Salad every morning thanks to Awaken on my Mac, and I listen to Groove Salad, Drone Zone, and Secret Agent while I'm at work. It's great music to zone out to while I'm copyediting or anything else that's tedious and repetitive. Nothing too distracting, nothing that makes me want

@MTTS - Well said. Your 1 sentence summation says it better than my 2page diatribe.

@TroyF: No doubt I do still make use of some GTD tricks and, as I said, GTD really does deliver on what it promises.

Probably goes without saying, but what the heck...
