I wonder how it's deemed to be a joke? Unless the headline has been changed it says "Canada is the latest country...." Is that not true?

Presumably the same arguments for and against will be raised.
They might not be, but there's a whole world out there! My local Ford dealer sells both and as they are usually manual the DCT thing isn't an issue. YMMV as they say.
They do. The Fiesta and Focus are quite decent cars.
The 2.0 diesel (the only one sold here) might be easier...
Ireland, although it's much the same throughout Europe. In my case we have a registration tax which is CO2 based and therefore favours hybrids, but that doesn't prevent other makers selling few hybrids. Ford, for example.
Toyota have done that where I am: the Yaris has a hybrid option because cheap car but the Corolla, Rav 4, CHR and Camry are now hybrid only. Much the same for Lexus.
It would sell maybe as well as its Jeep equivalent - that is not at all!
Makes bugger all difference, nobody buys the things anyway.
You obviously live in a place where the chances that you can encounter somebody who breaks into your home with the intention of doing you harm are so high that you need armed response from the police. You’ll need those cookies. My sympathies.
Burglars here are unlikely to be armed.
Nope.
I live in a place where the police are not routinely armed. They seem to get over the issue you mentioned.
I live in a place where most police duties do not so require.
Volvo are reduced nowadays to trucks, buses and construction equipment. No, the original company no longer makes cars.
That’s complicated though because there several only distantly related companies called Mitsubishi.
The battery is much too small for this. Fitting a bigger battery would make the car much more expensive.
Do Jeep not sell wherever you are? I can buy RHD jeeps (not that anybody actually does).
Countless would be pushing it though. Jeeps don't usually sell well outside America.
