The entire story is an absolute fallacy. Nobody has any idea what the profit margins are on individual transactions are with the USPS. The USPS has been losing money for years and years. Even if Amazon isn’t as bad of a “deal” as it is when someone mails a wedding invitation, it doesn’t mean they are contributing to a

Amazon pays for operational costs, i.e. the actual costs to process and deliver the packages. In addition, they pay for 5.5% of all overhead cost (institutional costs) for the entire business. It’s not dissimilar to how companies with a high proportion of fixed costs assesses profitability of new business. In this

I’ll hang around and wait for the moral relativists to explain how showing private dicks is totally cool because they enjoyable and they hate the individual who owned said dick, but having their political affiliation sold for advertising is too far.

Doesn’t stop Canadian conservatives from talking about “fake news” though.

I think he means more or less the costs of keeping the AC running and the outside lights on. My company is only open 5 days a week, but gosh dang it, the county includes weekends on our property taxes.

iPad Pro user here too. I use mine for notetaking and drawing and also find it flawless. OneNote, which is free now, is also fantastic for ANY notetaking; I only wish I had it earlier in my schooling. My only complaint is the battery life and charge time could be a bit better.

Apple’s iPad problem is iPad users like me that bought the damn things and don’t have any reason to bother upgrading it.

I got the 9.7 iPad Pro when it came out and finally got an Apple Pencil last fall. So far it has been a wonderful experience. I haven’t found a good note taking app but Penultimate works great for me since I use evernote for everything.

Thanks for the reply. It’s been 4 yrs since I updated my iPad so this new 9.7 with a pencil is exactly where I’d be for price/size/performance.

I’m still rocking an iPad 2 with no legit reason to upgrade, although as an artist/designer I have to say I am very tempted by the Apple Pencil.

I’m in the same boat. I jumped on the first-gen iPad Pro bandwagon without a second thought; I use it more than my phone, and almost as much as my MacBook. I’ve used Surface Pro as well as Galaxy Tab and nothing comes close to being as good as iPad Pro + Pencil. It really is the only Wacom-quality tablet on the market.

I don’t take notes on mine, but I use ProCreate (kind of like photoshop but optimized for pencil).

I’ve got the smaller pro, and yeah. Really, till they give me Face ID and switch to OLED, I’ve got no need to upgrade.

Trust me, it is fantastic. I’ve been using a 10" iPadPro for about a 1/2 year and take extensive notes and PDF markup on a daily basis as well as use it in university lectures and I’ve not had a single issue with palm or other hand rejection.

I almost never use my Apple pencil, I also own a 53 pencil. I wish there was a combination of the 53 pencil which feels much better to hold and the Apple pencil’s accuracy.

How good is their system for ignoring fingers and other parts of your hand that would naturally rest on the screen while writing? That’s what killed note-taking for me on other tablets - the side of my hand and my little finger would always take precedent over the tip of the stylus, which made it useless.

yup, I used iPad Pro and GoodNotes app! Awesome combo, I no longer have to carry notebooks or yellow pads with me.

One thing at a time.

Ding ding ding. If they approve the sale, they’ll almost certainly require Linksys to be spun off.
