What I meant was wouldn’t it be a bigger marketing campaign if Acura found an original owner who COULDN’T afford to keep his dream running? Then follow that person for awhile?

I think it’s great that Acura did this, I just hope he paid for it since he can actually afford to do so. Still, kudos to Acrua.
OK, I didn’t realize I chose the second to base model when quoting prices on the Jeep... with hardtop, automatic and nothing else the most base Jeep is $28K
This one will end up in the CP pile for most, but hey... people are paying $40K for 90’s 2-door soft top USDM Defender. Still!
Ha, funny... my G500 does that too. I think it’s an air pump.
Hmmph. I guess I am a conservative Jalop? G500-silver, Miata metallic white, Subaru metallic bronze/silver... (Subaru is my company car, so it needs to fly under the po-po radar...)
OK, my eyes are bleeding after checking THAT out. I mean, bleeding RED bleeding... I *almost* could get my head wrapped around all of the red but the gauges and wood on the interior? Talk about lack of taste... that is just wrong.
Wow buddy, I didn’t say it was a perfect car, but remember... this was from the 80’s... comparing it to anything modern or in modern terms is just silly!
My dad actually had one of these, a 1987, from 1987-1993... this car was actually hella fun to drive!
Agreed. Prime is pretty awesome for someone like me that travels extensively for a living... once I am home, get your crowbar to pry me back out!
Doing exactly what they could NOT get done at BBC. Hate to seem them all go in a dramatic way, and I am now VERY glad to have Amazon Prime. Win Win.
GREAT version of this song. It has a special place in my iTunes.
O-M-G that sounds amazing.
The spring rates, second gear (auto) starting, slow steering-box ratio, along with the slow throttle tip in all combine to SMOOTH out the starts. That along with the SOLID structure make it feel like that. I’ve owned a 2.3 and a 2.6 Sportline. The W201 and W124 (owned W124 too) are the among best built and most long…
Dunno how everyone else is going to feel about this “SUV” (jacked up wagon), but it’s not so bad. Generically Euro-Wagon-SUV with some Jaaaaaag detailing. Not bad. Plus, hey... they (like L-R) are sending us DIESELS! I mean, we can’t complain about that!
I think you’re a bit rough on Edd China, but I know what you mean. Seriously though, that show is pretty good overall. Top Gear, obviously... and let’s not forget Fifth Gear. These chop shop hot rod shows though? Dime a dozen. They’re all the same, and not interesting, at least to me. Chasing Classic Cars? I don’t…
Meh. Artificial. Pop Crackle. Sounds like an Abarth, Mini, Jag... any number of cars can be made to do this with some electronic manipulation. Having said that, what car used to be able to make that glorious flat-6 sound with a healthy intake honk? That’s going to be gone baby gone... and was probably why they felt it…
So... Bentley made a VW Toureg with hips, bucket back seats, and a boot full of champagne? Yuck. OF COURSE they will sell every one, but... I mean, hello Range Rover...
So, this is the hideousness that I will be stuck behind in the left lane going 10mph under all of the other cars while nervously riding along side semi trucks? Slay me now... This is truly hideous. Sure, the hybrid crowd is going to buy them up, but... why? Why would Toyota design it like that? I mean, wasn’t it ugly…
Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes, YES!!!!!!!!!!! What an awesome car! I have not seen one for sale in the US for under $15K in a long time. This one isn’t perfect, but who cares? It doesn’t look rusty... everything else can be repaired with duct tape and a coat hanger!
