All they need to do is switch out the female model with me and this ad would be perfect.

I've been hoping to see an article addressing this very important topic for quite awhile. Thank you.

I understand what you're saying. I just think women already get more than their fair share of guilt because women are held more accountable for moral behavior than men. I don't want to pile more shit on someone who's been shit enough on, especially when she didn't betray me, my husband did.

It's natural to get jealous, but I think it's ultimately the responsibility of the spouse not to cheat. The spouse is the one who promised monogamy. I may be personally upset with "the other woman," but I don't think it's fair to lash out at her or try to expose her; she wasn't the one who promised me fidelity.

UGH The other day: girl walks by in very short miniskirt and tights. Guy stops behind her and says, "mmm, I like that booty." She keeps walking and he goes, "You're very attractive." Still keeps walking and he gets mad and starts yelling across the station, "You're not even going to say THANK YOU, BITCH?!!!"

I completely agree. It's all tied up in a big ball of shit. That's why strangers should keep their opinions to themselves!

This is so true. When I was much younger, I lost a lot of weight because drugs/stupid decisions. I was extremely unhealthy and way too skinny but I would get comments on how great I looked, which really fucked me up mentally. I also had some people tell me they were "concerned" about me. But none of those people

I'm very thin, and I always have been. I do think most people aren't truly concerned about others when they point out that someone needs to lose weight (with the exception of doctors, etc.). Most people know if they need to lose weight for health reasons, and they're made to feel pretty awful about it by society at

Sorry, I didn't mean to sound like I was attacking what you were saying – I agree with you as well.

I should have written that shaming is not the best way to help people you're truly concerned about. In fact, it often does the opposite.

Genuine concern for people is one thing. Shaming and humiliating people in public is generally not the best way to get them on your side.

Exactly – so gracious and kind of Fit Mom to "concern" herself with strangers health. I'm sure she really, really cares because she does it in such a constructive way!

YES. The concept is so easy but surprisingly hard for many to grasp.
