If I remember biology correctly, it depends.

I mentioned this in a response to Adam but...

It’s not just regular people without communication. The Governor was on television begging mayors from all over the island to go to the emergency command center in San Juan IN PERSON to report what was going on. It’s 2017!

As an expert, what advice would you give to someone who hypothetically bought an iPad pro in the last 5 days and just saw that for the same price he paid he can get twice the memory and the fancy new screen? Should he return it and order the new one? Will the old iPads be sold for less money somewhere?

Unlimited would be great but I’m willing to deal with the trade off considering how much better network coverage is on AT&T. Especially since I use the phone for work on the road and stream 99% on 100mbps wifi.

In practice with an iPhone what I find is that if your phone says you’re connected to LTE you get the 8Mbps and if it says 4G (like when you’re on a call) it’s 4Mbps.

You’re right. What I meant was the plan offering between AT&T brand vs Cricket. I think Crickets coverage got much better after the AT&T purchase but the customer service is definitely not as good. Then again, if you’re self sufficient in getting your tech working I find it’s a tolerable compromise.

No, the maximum speed you will ever see is 8mbps if your phone says LTE on the screen and 4mbps if it says 4G

Totally didn’t mean to be an asshole. I’m a fan!

I fully agree that Cricket is MUCH better than this sad excuse of an offer from AT&T, BUT Cricket does throttle all data to 8Mbps LTE / 4Mbps 4G.

A little too on the nose. I’d be going into hiding right about now. And don’t forget your tin foil hat!

It’s actually not going to make it any worse as far as biting because only females do that and these are all male.

Did the cameraman seem to have some sort of harness that was slowing down his fall? That was impressive stuff but would love to also see all of the additional equipment and prep that went into it.

Seems like a real missed opportunity...

Hofstra has over 10k students. Add faculty, supports staff, researchers, etc to that, and the IT department they run HAS to be enormous. This is a money grab because the heavy lifting has already been done. Including having plenty of fiber going into the campus.

Any university the size of Hofstra already has incredible amounts of bandwidth to supply the day to day use of their thousands of students, faculty, and researchers. This is a money grab, pure and simple.
