The transaxle from the Impala SS barely handled the power.

Someone may pay this, but I don’t need to support it. This is a 1997 2WD Ford Ranger with a 4-cylinder. It is not worth $6500.

Well, XLT was an okay trim for this model and year, but yeah—base engine, and a single cab in the SuperCab era.

My Dodge Stealth R/T Twin Turbo with 300HP and AWD. Getting that thing squirrely when the boost kicked in hard and starts going sideways like a RWD car.

Pretty sure it was a 5.7L V8, not a 5.4.

You have put more thought into this comment than any of the engineers at GM put into the Cavalier.

Someone already suggested a W body Monte Carlo, which was the first thing that came to my mind. The second thing was a 9th or 10th generation Thunderbird. Look for one with a V8 or naturally aspirated V6 for simplicity’s sake. It’s pure Americana from the overly large body to the deceptively small interior.

It’s a Mitsubishi Outlander.  Replacing the windshield may total the thing.

Wait, this is a European thing? It’s hard to believe this isn’t common practice in other parts of the world, it absolutely is the norm around here. We also use flashers to warn other drivers of all kinds of hazards. Stuff like animals crossing the road, fallen trees/branches, danger of aquaplaning, anything that can

A few possibilities.

Always appreciate you shouting these out Tom.

I’d enjoy this clip even more if I was able to forget the time I drove into my garage with my bicycle on my roof rack.

I still have to square up.

I try to never bee too rude in the comments but here it goes:
This car is a complete pile of shit in almost every imaginable way. It’s not fast, it’s not well built, it’s not nice, and it’s going to break a lot, but at at least the roof leaks. Their is no 199- Oldsmobile anything that is worth $8495, I don’t care what

Here in Canada they were the Euro Sport edition - and the SPFI V6 was pretty spunky. Special trim too - and IIRC also “euro tuned” suspension that made them handle a bit better.  Even the “Plain Jane” version like this one is worth $2000 all day long - and I am NOT a fan of GM “small” cars - or GM cars PERIOD.

Yep.

Is the Mazda6 still around?

I’ve been to Ireland a few times in the several years and Mondeos were everywhere. And over there you see wagons and four-door hatchback versions. Why Ford never offered either here is unfathomable. Oh, and it’s still offered with a manual over there.

Ask your wife for a hug

I’m like this too, except when I pull into my driveway because I hardly ever get other drivers behind me on my street.
