400hp is not difficult to get out of these engines. You'll of course need to upgrade the turbo, air intake, exhaust, software, and possibly fueling, but tuners like APR and Unitronic have been able to get 450+ reliable horsepower from these engines for a while. One thing's for sure though - it ain't cheap.

Crackpipe only because it doesn't have the mandatory double-tube light bar that was/is required on 80's toyota 4x4's.

And I'm sure all the rally snobs back then were like "All wheel drive? More like AWFUL wheel drive!" then did burnouts in their 037's and Renault 5 Turbos.

not bad at all. Other than the hokey plastic seat inserts meant to look like five-point-harness slots, it's well put together and nice without being showy or obnoxious. Just a fine (if plain) place to be.
