Good read here, Patrick.  I made it to the TorSen, and will read the rest later.  Several years ago I made a TorSen diff out of lego gears just to get a better sense of the mechanics of what is going on in there.  It was pretty cool and worked exactly as it should have.

P.S. No dissing on GE refrigerators, this 1960s gem is still keeping beverages cold and pizzas frozen in my basement, and will probably outlive me.

I’ve been irrationally attracted to Biturbos since I was a little kid, and this being a Spyder only adds to the appeal. The great condition takes it even further. But that transmission just kills it for me. I’m not a “manual or die” guy, but I feel like a 3-speed slush box would just ruin the driving experience here.

Fitting that this is sitting on a lot with an El Camino, because nothing about it quite goes together. Odd proportions. Boy racer stripe. Cheesy chrome trim on that lovely wood. It’s just...off somehow.

Here in Finland less than a quarter of cars have AWD and it snows everywhere. It’s not an issue unless you are an idiot.
