Nothing I read above suggests Nico attributes his ability to be a F1 driver to genetics. He referenced driving a race car quickly. Without his father’s connections, perhaps Nico is the local club level autocross champion, and not a F1 driver.

Nah, Marchionne wants to tap in to that corporate cousin Hellcat motor.

Ferrari is threatening to leave F1 again?!? Oh noes! Do we all need to chip in and get them a present for the 100th threat as some kind of milestone anniversary?

No L78 400 c.i. Pontiac motor = no care. Sorry, I don’t like Oldsmobiles powering my Pontiacs.

Ha! Same thing happened to me. At 15 I’d had years of karting, a few autocrosses, and an actual track sessions in a Formula Ford under my belt at that point.

While history is no guarantee of success, it does paint a damning picture of Alonso’s choices in being the right driver at the wrong time and/or place. Given Alonso’s luck, I am tipping Daniil Kvyat for 2018 World Driving Champion.

There’s “Nice price” and “Crack Pipe.” I think this one deserves a “Hold my beer.”

Not the “tub” but the “clams.” The front and rear “bumpers” aren’t really bumpers, so much as pointy bits of fiberglass that are part of the entire front and rear of the car. So basically... parallel parking an Elise gets you a salvage title.

How tall are you?!? I’m 5'11" and I can move the seat back far enough that my legs can’t reach the pedals.

What could she have worn that someone WOULDN’T have been offended by?

Like finishing no higher than third in his own division multiple years in a row?

You’re right. Everyone one of those things is horrible.

I can see this one is going 0 to CP in record time. But as the former owner of a V8 Fiero, I have to say, that was such a fun little car. I gave it a NP for nostalgia.

So let me get this straight. American cars were bad because they needed water pumps and alternators, but the imports were good even though they rusted in to oblivion “in short order?” That’s an interesting take.

It’s not a matter of obligation to be a caretaker or not. It’s about choosing the right tool for the job. You wouldn’t go rock climbing in a Pontiac Firebird, and you wouldn’t show up to run a PCA autocross in a Dodge Ram. So you shouldn’t buy a significant, interesting, well preserved automobile if you live in a

The only turbo third gen to my knowledge was the ‘89 TA pace car, and that was a 3.8L V6.

The very first thing I thought of when I saw this. Enzo, is that you? The scene where Enzo gets strapped in to the Porsche and goes for a track day was great. The whole book was great. Just don’t read it on a plane. I got to the ending and the damn air quality in the plane got all dusty and made my eyes water.

They were Pontiac 301s, not Chevy 305s. At least in 49 states.

Exactly!
