Yeah, I figured it was a trade in, being a Buick dealership and all. It’s a shame, I loved the idea of getting into a relatively modern Japanese wagon, something that’s not all that common. But I’m very happy with my 500+hp boring German sedan. It’s just that it will be worth half of what I paid in 4 years LOL

Funny story that’s kind of relevant here. I wanted to buy a used Audi, but my better judgement pushed me to go look at a used Acura wagon instead (at a Buick dealership).

I used to think this.  They’re essentially a Corvette with 200 less horsepower, and a way worse engine.  Virtually no one makes any performance parts for the Northstar V8, so it’s stuck in slowland forever.  Which is a shame, the XLR could have been an awesome car otherwise.

You’re out of your skull.

#ThingsThatDefinitelyHappened

Just throwing a crazy conspiracy theory out there.

And it’s a digital rendering.  Not a photo.  Sheesh.

Meh, they’ve had roughly, I don’t know... 25 years to stabilize their market and for Japanese buyers to purchase the car they want.  Sorry not sorry.

The Corvette has had a 7-speed manual for a long time now. And I’m 100% certain there’s been more before that. wat?

Did you read my entire reply? I understand if you didn’t, it’s a long one. But, I addressed that point.

You didn’t, I was just using the extreme end of the spectrum to illustrate a point.

Okay, so there’s no national database on police shootings. You know what is documented? When the body goes to the morgue and the cause of death is determined. At which point, it will be reported as a death by gunshot wound.

1.) Yes my mistake. But, 0.0048% is not even a rounding error. It’s literally by the book not statistically significant.

There are roughly 16,000 murders by gun in the USA every year. This includes justified killings (self defense, cops shooting criminals, etc.). But, let’s pretend that all of the 16,000 murders are guns being illegally used.

Oh wow

oh god wat is my life

Hoo boy, you’re special, aren’t ya? The article you linked, and the quote you used, is from the 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals. Not the Supreme Court.

Citation on the Supreme Court stating at assault weapons are not protected under the 2nd amendment?  And what constitutes an assault weapon, anyways?  Pistol grip?  Magazine capacity?  How scary the gun looks?  Please tell me.

The vaping ban has strong parallels to the gun control debate. A statistically tiny number of people illegally misuse something, people die, and then there’s sweeping bans.
