I don’t believe that I need an AR-15 for self defense. My semi-automatic 9mm pistol is plenty for that. I’m just barely smart enough to know that firing an AR-15 anywhere inside my house would probably render me deaf for the rest of my life. No thanks. By the way, police response time virtually anywhere is too long.

Because the reasonable thing to do when you fear the regularity of gun violence is to give up your means to protect yourself from said gun violence.  Lol

I’m perma-grey because my political views fall somewhere in the middle, as opposed to over-the-horizon left.  But, this specific statement from Beto has pretty much sealed the deal that I will vote republican this time around.  I voted for Obama both times, and Jill Stein last time.  This is where I draw the line.

There’s a lot wrong with what you’re saying here. It’s clear to me you don’t have much, if any, experience in hand to hand combat; much less armed combat.

Interesting with an institution paying what (or part of what) it owes. What is the suggestion for reparations to descendants of slaves owned by individuals?

Is the Android market really this convoluted, or is this some kind of typo?  What’s the Galaxy Note 10 vs. the Samsung Galaxy Note 10?

What I think a lot of people aren’t understanding is that with the founding of the United States, the right to keep and bear arms was what’s known as a “natural right”. This means that in the US, the right to have a gun is not something that is granted to you by the government. It is a right that each person is born

Man, no surprise that people complaining about landlords are commenting on internet articles in the middle of a workday.

You’re assuming that the US military as a whole would mount an assault on US citizens. People aren’t going to wage war on their friends and family, especially not in an attempt to disarm the population (which would violate the constitution, which the military is sworn to defend).

These already sell almost faster than they can build them.

Have we really resorted to calling toy guns “automatic” and “assault weapons”?

What about when a dealer tells you they paid $36,000 on a trade in Civic Type R that retailed for $35,000?

I don’t know why we haven’t considered banning guns sooner, really.

Columbus’ local LaFerrari is a victim of the front plate. If it was me, I’d probably just forget it and take the ticket (if it ever came to that). Not like the dude needs to worry about the fine.

What is this, logic and firsthand experience with the subject?  Get out of here!

They’re not.

Currently in a dispute with my bank over this.  I put $2,330 cash into the ATM (I now know this isn’t advised), and got a receipt back for $0.  You’d think it’d be really easy for them to verify that there’s an unaccounted for huge sum of money in the machine, deposited at the exact time I said it was.  You’d think...

At first, GR: Wildlands was a realistic, modern military shooter. Very few fantasy elements, and it was awesome.

But the price of food has risen with inflation. So, 20% of a 2019 meal is equal to 20% of a 1999 meal, inherently because it’s a percentage. Percentages don’t need to change with inflation.

You mean divide by 10, multiply it by 2.5, surely.
